Setup Gmail on your iphone?

Setting Gmail is not an easy process on an iphone and many people including new users of iphone face this problem. It is not a simple procedure, follow the steps given below :

STEPS :

• On your iphone, open settings and choose mail, calenders and contacts from the list.
• Now Tap on Add account and choose Other from the list.
• Now enter your information (name, address, description for the account and password) and on the upper right corner tap on Save.
  
• Now select the IMAP tab. In the Incoming mail server add the following information. Hostname: imap.gmail.com, username : e-g vembrace@gmail.com, password: Should be filled in automatically from the previous page.
• In the Outgoing mail server add the following infomation. Hostname: smtp.gmail.com, username: e-g vembrace@gmail.com, password: same as above.
• Now tap on Save.
• Now tap on your new account and then select 'Advanced'.
• Select draft mailbox, from On server under (Gmail) choose drafts.
  
• Select sent mail. from On my iphone tap on Sent. Due to this gmail will place a copy of your messages in your sent folder automatically.
• Select Deleted mailbox.Now to map the trash button to delete msgs , choose Trash. And to map the trash button to archive msgs choose All Mail.
• Change the Deleted messages settings ,In remove settings tap on Never.
• Check your mail and enjoy. Please comment if you face any problems.
